Marcel Barbey

Marcel Barbey is a Principal with Medicus Partners, based in the Dallas office. Mr. Barbey has been recruiting physicians and providing healthcare staffing consultative services since 1999. His areas of expertise include medical staff needs analysis, contract negotiation, establishing strong partnerships with physician candidates and clients and an unparalleled customer centric focus.

Prior to joining Medicus Partners, Mr. Barbey was with Merritt, Hawkins and Associates. While at MHA, he trained and directed a team of search consultants that worked collaboratively with private practices and hospitals throughout the Midwest region. During his tenure, Mr. Barbey and his team successfully completed well over 100 searches. Mr. Barbey has personally completed recruiting assignments in a variety of practice settings and communities. Prior to starting his career in healthcare consulting and recruiting, Mr. Barbey worked in the hospitality and hotel management field.

While at Medicus Partners, Mr. Barbey has twice earned the Burning Tire Award for filling the highest number of searches in the shortest period of time.

Mr. Barbey earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Alberta, Edmonton. Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Mr. Barbey enjoys spending his free time with his son, attending live music events and coaching kids' hockey.
